The Reconnection, LLC, a California limited liability company (“The Reconnection”) owns and operates (the “Website”). We are committed to safeguarding your privacy online. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices.

At The Reconnection, we have a few fundamental principles:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We can’t stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
  • In our blogging products, we aim to make it as simple as possible for you to control what’s visible to the public, seen by search engines, kept private, and permanently deleted.

As such, we have established and implemented this privacy policy to inform our Website visitors and certain users how we use and protect the information that we collect. If you have any questions regarding this information or our privacy practices, please see the section entitled “Questions? Contact Us” at the end of this privacy statement.

As a general policy, no “Personally Identifiable Information” (as defined below) is automatically collected from your visit to the Website.

Certain non-personal information, however, including the type of browser being used, its operating system and your IP address may be automatically recorded by the standard operation of the Website’s internet servers.

    a. Personally Identifiable Information

    (i) Contact Information. You may visit and use many features on the Website without completing any user registration. However, in order to purchase products online, register for seminars, conferences or events, or other interactions, we may require you to provide us with certain contact and/or demographic information and/or to become a registered user of the Website. When you become a registered user, we require you to provide us with your contact information (including your name and email address), and may require your date of birth, gender and zip code, as well as other information, in order to create a password. Our goal is to make your experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.

(ii) Financial Information. If you purchase any products on the Website or want to sign up for any seminars or events, you will additionally need to provide us with your credit card and shipping information (for products). Financial information (credit card numbers, credit card expiration dates, billing address, etc.) that is collected is used to bill you for products and services. Financial information is not used for any purpose other than billing.

(iii) The Reconnection collects such personally identifiable information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with the Website. The Reconnection does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Website-related activities such as the registration of seminars and the purchase of products.

    b. Non-Personally Identifiable Information

    (i) IP Address. An IP address is a number that’s automatically assigned to your computer whenever you’re surfing the Web. We may retain your IP address in order to help us diagnose problems with our servers, to administer our Website, to help identify you and your shopping cart, to gather broad anonymous demographic information (such as the number of visitors from a geographic area), to enforce compliance with the Website terms and conditions or otherwise in order to protect our services, sites, customers, or others.

(ii) Cookies. Cookies are small bits of electronic information that a website can transfer to a visitor’s hard drive to help tailor and keep records of his or her visit to the site. The use of cookies is standard on the Internet and many websites use them. Cookies allow website operators to better customize visits to the site to the visitor’s individual preferences. For example, we use cookies to keep track of your shopping cart and to provide you with a better surfing experience and maximize your enjoyment of the Website. However, we do not save any password information in cookies. We may additionally use “web bugs” or other similar data collection programs to collect information to provide you with a more enjoyable and easier experience on the Website. In addition, banner advertisements may be displayed on our site which may contain cookies. The companies who serve our banner advertisements may transfer cookies independent of us, and, as such, we do not control the use of such cookies and in many instances have no access to the information collected by them.

Although most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, you can usually change your browser to prevent that or to notify you when you are sent a cookie. This gives you the chance to decide whether or not to accept the cookie. Even without accepting a cookie, you can still access many of the features on the Website. However, some parts of the Website will not function properly or may be considerably slower if you refuse cookies. For example, without cookies, you may experience delays and may have difficulty completing shopping transactions. If you would like more information about cookies, we suggest you visit
