What is the Here Now? In Reconnective Healing it is the ability to be effortlessly present.
Finding direction in life and seeking fulfillment and happiness has prompted many to turn to manifesting. Manifesting is, in short, aligning our thoughts and core beliefs with a mindset that we are already living the life of our dreams. Some approaches to manifesting are clear and elegant, others are rule-driven and filled with superstition. There are wheels and chants, objects and rituals and no end to the list of experts with buzzwords and beautifully curated Instagram accounts. We ALL love a pretty Instagram account. The Reconnection has one too! But what if manifesting what we want is like trying to drive from the back seat? Manifesting, as it is most often promoted, is focused on future wealth. Is this where we should focus our energy and efforts?
What if I told you focusing on manifesting what you want often drives you right past the BEST possibilities the universe has waiting for you? Manifesting is also about being attuned to the vibration of the universe and Reconnective Healing aligns our being with these vibrations.
Reconnective Healing isn’t healing in a traditional sense. It is the Energy, Light & Information of the universe. The RH frequencies first connect us to ourselves and then open us to a state of being present in our world rather than trying to dictate the direction of our lives to the universe.
While we all have the ability to touch the vibration of the universe when we're open to it, the RH frequencies enable us to make this connection easily thanks to the discoveries Dr. Eric Pearl made years ago when he first encountered them.
In 1971 Ram Dass wrote the book Be Here Now. He encouraged us to live in authenticity, acknowledge our thoughts but disregard consuming negativity to navigate lives of fulfillment, love and gratitude. Be here now is both a mantra and a platitude. It is great advice.
The ability to be present opens us to receive and we become a Catalyst for endless possibilities.
“The heart surrenders everything to the moment. The mind judges and holds back.” —Ram Dass
What is the Here Now? In Reconnective Healing, it is the ability to be effortlessly present, sometimes in the onslaught of relentless distraction. Presence in RH is an optimal here-now state.
Are you reading this while walking? Don’t forget to look up from your phone as you cross the street! Being present is becoming harder each day as we not only move through life on autopilot, but we are constantly interrupted by reminders, emails, alarms, calls, texts and ….. wait… what was I writing?
In practicing Reconnective Healing, we receive what we NEED, which might not be what we think we want. When I needed a new car, I pictured a sleek convertible sports car and started saving ads with gleaming machines and well-designed forms. My commutes at the time were short and I lived in a town with smooth, well-maintained roads. I pictured spending weekends wearing red lipstick with my long hair flying in the wind as I drove full-speed along the California coast. I was able to let that fantasy go when I became present to what I knew in my body was the best choice.
I found a used, reliable and small solid commuter car at a reasonable price. I listened to that gut feeling and didn’t look back. I have used that same gut feeling to make much bigger decisions than what car to buy… but those are very personal stories for another time. My practical car has saved me a great deal of money and most likely, speeding tickets. My little grey car has taken me all over the country to see friends and explore nature. Later, as I struggled to find a better paying job, I was endlessly grateful for this practical little car that came into my life. I would not have been able to pay the gas or insurance, let alone the repair bills for the beast machine I wanted. The commuter car was what I needed.
A subsequent job that required a great deal of commuting on terribly maintained roads was a breeze in my tiny car. When our wants are in line with our needs, they are instantly and easily met via the Reconnective Healing Frequencies. My desire for that sports car melted away as my needs were met. The practical yet difficult decision aligned with my future needs. Being present to the frequencies allows us to live in timelessness. It brings our awareness to the abundance that we already have in our lives, which is not beautiful things like sports cars but the people around us and the opportunities adjacent to us. Do we see them?
“What and WHO are we missing when we aren’t living in the present? It is sheer good fortune to miss somebody long before they leave you.” —Toni Morrison
Opening ourselves to who and what we already have allows us to flourish and our wants melt away as we align fully with our true calling in life. Abundance on every level follows.
It can be a struggle to stay in the now by trying to control our modern, distracted minds. RH offers one the opportunity to instantly access the ‘Now’ without involving any mind-training on our part.
In RH we call it the Here Now and it is the ability to be effortlessly present. Opening ourselves to the frequencies of Energy, Light & Information affords real presence.
As you read this, are you truly present in this moment? Let’s try something called a grounding exercise. Speaking coaches and therapists use these techniques to bring their student’s and patient’s minds into the present moment. Grounding exercises help us quiet the mind and live in the now.
Look around you… no really look! Let your mind pause. Smell the air, open your ears, move your tongue in your mouth. Now press your toes into the ground. Try to feel a breeze on your skin. Be present to what you hear, see, smell, taste and touch. Reconnective Healing is a state of openness and ultimate presence. When we are present, we are living in ultimate awareness. Possibilities seemingly present themselves.
Try this next time you meet someone new. Use this exercise as you listen to what they are saying. Learn to be truly present with others.
In his sermon, “Creating an Abundant Life,” The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. said,
“Discover your calling. Then give your heart soul and mind to it. And thereby life will present you with meaning that you never thought was there. You are on the road to creating the abundant life.”
Finding our calling seems like a fantasy if our lives are far from what we need to sustain us. Reverend King had the odds stacked against him, yet he was able to compel change by recognizing the abundance he possessed. It is challenging to see abundance when we have real, tangible obstacles, loss and tragedy. Manifesting can’t and won’t remove our painful realities, but we can choose to be open to seeing the world from varying perspectives.
Heartbreak and struggle can hijack our autopilot. It seems impossible to be a catalyst when we see the world crumbling around us. We sometimes move through life keenly aware of sadness, anger or worry. That is all we are able to see and we sometimes miss what the universe holds for us. You will find open doors and opportunity are already waiting for you when you change your perspective. Easier said than done, right? This would likely take some practice and some letting go of resistance.
There is a great deal of truth to attraction theories. Staying emotionally trapped in the past manifests by repeating the past. We replay the things we not only did to ourselves but the injustices we have suffered. We will see the world painted with the color we think about most often. If we don’t place our attention in a higher state and openness to information, then we are, in a sense “attracting” what we don’t want in our lives.
But are we attracting what we don’t want, or are we failing to learn a lesson? Does a mistake remain a mistake if we build a lesson out of our hardship? What happens when we clear our heads and we can apply those lessons in our lives? A lesson learned and then integrated into our perception ends the cycle. Scenes stop repeating themselves and our mistakes become just one thread in the shimmering fabric of who we are and who we can become.
This is not to say we stay home and wait for things to come to us. We shouldn’t ignore the world and skip through life with blinders on to the injustice and suffering of others. There are REAL problems that we all have a responsibility to solve if we are able. Remaining present rather than fixating on the past puts in in the best vantage point to notice and then negotiate present circumstances.
Manifesting happens in the Here Now and that starts with being present. The rest will follow. We build our capacity when our lives are, at least partially, in order and every person’s capacity and process is unique.
Our lives fall into place when we find the people and places that support us. We discover opportunities and realize new paths by opening our hearts and reaching out. With practice, we become effortlessly present. Communities are born out of many mutually supportive friendships and communities can become new families we can turn to and walk with while we realize who we really are and the incredible things we can actually do. Our unavoidable limitations become less of a stumbling block when we align ourselves with others, build trust and seek mutual goals.
Our greatest human potential comes from an awareness of the present.
So what is the story you will tell yourself today? Are you pushing against the world and demanding what YOU think you need…or are you a Catalyst for endless possibilities?
Discover your callings and see your best life from where you are now by remaining open to the interconnected energy of the universe. The Reconnective Healing Frequencies open us to the intelligence that is a conduit for what becomes the TRUE flow of your life.
