Accelerate Healing in All Aspects of Your Life - Addressing Worthiness and Healing

Renowned medical doctor and spiritual teacher Dr. Bernie Siegel tells the story of a woman diagnosed with terminal cancer and given a month to live. Determined to overcome her illness, she tried an alternative healing method that sent her cancer into full remission. Some time later, and with her health fully restored, she happened by chance on her old doctor, the one who had predicted her cancer-induced short life span. She joyfully told him how she had tried something else and now was cancer-free. The doctor, instead of being happy for her, became irate and pedantic, telling her point blank that the alternative treatment she had followed was quackery and that she should be dead. This brief exchange rocked the woman to her core and within a very short time she was indeed dead from the cancer, which came back overnight. She had become convinced that somehow she did not deserve her healing.
The likelihood is high that the doctor’s lack of compassion was the trigger for the woman’s later life-ending predicament; yet, it might be more important to notice how her sense of worthiness, her perception of self-worth and her healing, became compromised when confronted by someone else’s “truth” about her. Here was a woman who had originally rejected her doctor’s diagnosis, and yet, after being healed, the same woman wholly took in and accepted his sentence, and promptly died from it.
Her story is far from being an isolated case. As a matter of fact, a large number of people who experience an extraordinary healing undergo a period of survivor’s guilt. The inner, and outer, narrative typically swings between justifying the healing as a) something divine and special, b) as a non-repeatable fluke or c) as undeserved and, therefore, perhaps revocable.
Our conflicting emotions and thoughts about our own worthiness routinely sabotage our well-being and almost every other aspect of our lives, yet it is our self-worth issues that become particularly prevalent when we experience the miraculous firsthand. To understand our reaction we need to first examine our concept of what healing is - and what healing isn’t.
We’ve grown to believe that healing is merely synonymous with fixing and curing. Even when it does bring about the wanted “fix,” true healing is a process that involves every aspect of a person. While “fixes” may take place in many situations, the many other components of that person and their life typically go unaddressed when the focus has solely been about their health challenge... as best as they or their practitioner understood it! Interestingly enough, it has been reported by many that once the health challenge has left, a sort of “emptiness” took its place. While some immediately recognize the freedom this emptiness represents and provides, others equate it to a loss and struggle to comprehend that something “impossible” has occurred within them, thus overlooking the larger gift that the healing has brought. The true power of healing doesn’t so much reside in effecting the change we want, but rather in bringing about the change we need - and what we need is often something we tend to overlook or ignore. To fully grasp what a healing is - and, in particular, what a miraculous healing is - we need to approach it not from our thought process and judgment, but from our instinct and inherent worthiness.
Just as healing and fixing aren’t the same thing, worthiness isn’t the same thing as self-worth. Worthiness is the full awareness of our integrity as complete entities, while self-worth is our interpretation in human terms of what this integrity means. Is it conditional? Is it achievable? Is it bestowed or earned? Self-worth is, more often than not, intrinsically intertwined with our acquired notions of how others perceive us and how we have learned to perceive the world, the latter often distilled from authority and inspirational figures alike. One such notion is that healing is dependent on our being deserving of it, a perception that typically permeates our thought process when our desired or intended outcome doesn’t appear to show up for us, or when we measure what we believe we received against the perceived good fortune of others. These thoughts of whether we are worthy or not (or whether others are worthy or not) creep into our consciousness, often silently, slowly eroding our ability to see the whole picture and refocusing us entirely in the toxic loop of “Why do I have this…?” and “Why don’t I have that…?” As we become fixated on the why of things, life seems to pass us by and we find ourselves unable to enjoy and appreciate the moment or to be in awareness of an expanded now, one that takes us beyond a land-locked experience of a disease.
Our beliefs about healing are constantly reassessed and reaffirmed by an inner narrative of judgment based upon a measurement of desirable outcomes and values, and this happens at all levels of our thinking mind, whether consciously or unconsciously. It is ultimately this non-stop internal chatter that at first blocks us from fully experiencing a healing, and slides back in when we find ourselves second-guessing the validity of that healing, regardless of how tangible and verifiable it may be. When faced with the seemingly impossible, such as a miraculous healing, our perception of self-worth might be pushed to the edge: how can we reconcile receiving such a prize when we may have done nothing to win it? The flip side of this inner narrative is a discourse on entitlement: if we have received this gift of healing, it is because we have done something to deserve it, we are the better people - chosen, even - and those who remain sick may not have been found worthy. It is only when we are able to see through this curtain of relentless judgmental running commentary that we are truly able to understand the magnitude of any healing. Happily, the Reconnective Healing experience tends make our worthiness far more clear, recognizable and even tangible for us.
Knowing yourself to be worthy by the simple fact that you were born is at the heart of what Reconnective Healing reveals to us. The fact that this energy-based process can be learned easily by anyone and at any age, as validated by multiple science studies and countless hundreds of Reconnective Healing training programs internationally, immediately allows us to see that no special “skills” are needed and no preference is shown for one human being over another when it comes to accessing this new comprehensive bandwidth of energy, light and information. Its ease of access clearly contradicts any belief that only some people are special enough to be healers - or to be healed - and, instead, shows us that everyone is, by default, worthy of both.
It is in our interaction with these Reconnective Healing frequencies where the constant nattering of the mind comes to a near or complete stillness - silence - in a matter of just seconds - sometimes sooner! And in this space, usually described as an infinite peace and quiet, and often as another dimension, we can observe, and accept, the gift of healing, healing that tends to be lifelong, likely because, time and again, it brings with it an acceptance of our own worthiness as one of its gifts. This inner silence, called quiescence, instantly brings us into omni-awareness - an awareness of everything - an awareness that is free from mind interference and can therefore present us with unencumbered infinite possibilities.
Once we move from judging what a healing, or a healer, should be into simply observing what the Reconnective Healing frequencies bring about, we are finally able to experience the full measure of what living in an accelerated state of healing feels like. This acceleration is, of course, the product of stepping more fully into our own awareness, the result of our sudden ability to recognize and accept, in our mind’s awareness, the aspects in ourselves and in our life that the healing is manifesting in. When we realize that all we need for this healing acceleration to continue uninterrupted is to allow ourselves to stay in omni-awareness, made readily available in our interaction with the Reconnective Healing frequencies, we can finally let go of our limited self-worth beliefs that have kept us shackled to perceived, or prescribed, outcomes.
All healings resulting from our interaction with the Reconnective Healing frequencies are, ultimately, miraculous regardless of how we attempt to measure the value of their impact on us or others. Numerous studies have repeatedly confirmed that the way these frequencies operate defies our understanding of the mechanics of physics and, for that matter, the universe itself. And just as with all miracles, we do not fully comprehend them. One thing has been clearly and consistently demonstrated: once we grasp that these miracles unfold and expand most freely when we are not focusing on a specific result or hinging them on how worthy we think we are, the full magnitude of the evolutionary healing power of Reconnective Healing is revealed.
Self-worth, as well as our relationship with healing, abundance and love, starts with our awareness of it. Delve deeper into regaining your omni-awareness with our Reconnective Life Webinars.
